Mini Competitions

2013 Mini-Competitions

  • February 2013 - Topside with water (snow, rain, drips, etc… endless image and video opportunities !)
  • May 2013 – Underwater Black & White (B/W image or video)
  • July 2013 – Underwater without fish (possibilites are divers, abstracts, wrecks, coral, plants, etc)
  • November 2013 – Red Underwater (image or video which includes the color “red”

The mini-comps are held 4 times each year.  At the Annual AIM Christmas Party, topics for the following year are solicited from the attendees and the top 4 topics are selected.

The Feb, May, Jul and Nov newsletter will contain all the necessary information to participate in the mini-comps.  This includes infomation as to image size, naming conventions, topics, categories etc.

Images for each “comp” must be emailed to Joe Herrlie at JoeHerrlie@gmail.com no later than Friday midnight prior to the Wednesday general meeting where the images will be presented.  Videos are to be brought the night of the competition on a flash drive or CD/DVD (it is suggested that Joe receive the video earlier to verify it plays on the equipment).  Any questions pertaining to the mini-comps should be directed to Joe Herrlie.
